Why is my juniper turning brown indoors?

Because it's indoors — junipers are outdoor trees, full stop. Without direct sun and a cold winter dormancy they decline over weeks to months, and browning foliage is the visible stage of it. Get it back outside: in mild weather, straight out; in mid-winter, stage it through a cold, bright, unheated space like a garage or enclosed porch for a few weeks first. If the inner branches still bend without snapping, it can recover.

Why is my pine dropping yellow needles in fall?

If the yellowing needles are the old interior ones, that's normal — pines and most conifers shed their 2-3-year-old needles every autumn while the branch tips stay green.
